I’ve heard a lot of talk the past few years on fast companies are the new big. Where conglomerates once stood now are surrendering their places to companies that are able to react quickly. However being able to jump from one trend to another isn’t good enough. (See my post from last week ) A company doesn’t have to set the trends, but they need to move smart. An organization must be fast and smart. Fast enough to keep pace with the ever changing world, and smart enough to make a change that leaves them in a better place.
If you are just changing to the latest bandwagon, you can only differentiate on price, however if you are moving fast and smart, you will develop loyal customers who are willing to pay you a premium.
